Some Mother’s Day Songs for Church

*If you’ve never been to this blog before. Feel free to check out some of the teachings on worship and worship resources. They’re the heart of this blog. Thanks

With Mother’s day coming up on a few weeks, I thought I could throw out some songs that would be a great fit for mother’s day.

-Loves me like a rock – Paul Simon (ITUNES LINK)

-Canon in D as done by THIS GUY;  (My wife and I adapted it last year to fit and it went over really well)

-Thank You Mom – Good Charlotte (ITUNES LINK)

-Perfect Fan – Backstreet Boys (ITUNES LINK)

-I love my momma – Snoop Dog (ITUNES LINK) – This one should definitely lose the rap section for content reasons and needs a few rewrites, but it could be fun otherwise.

-Mr. Mom – Lonestar (ITUNES LINK) Their music for video is pretty cute too. Check it out HERE Would be great to sync with a click and play live to the video playing on the screens. But make sure you have the copyright stuff to do it!

-William Tell “Momisms” - Anita Renfroe (ITUNES LINK) Ok, it’s pretty cheesy, but it’s hilarious if you have a family. Check out the youtube video as well

-You’ll Be In My Heart – Phil Collins (ITUNES LINK) (Fun fact: Tarzan is one of my wife’s favorite movies)

If you can think of any others that would be good for a worship service, put it in the comments!

If this is your first time on this site. Feel free to take a look at some other posts and teachings on worship and if you have any suggestions for topics or needs that I can help with. Feel free to put it in the comments!

Thanks,
Cole

  1. Douglas Cox says:

You put Renfroe in there, oh, Cole…

  2. Heidi Bylsma says:

“There You’ll Be” sung by Faith Hill could work.
